Mark's entire working career has been in the Commercial Arts. His passion started in his teenage years in a drawing class. His family spent a lot of time at the racetrack, so he applied his forming talents to lettering race cars, trucks and signs. He worked as a graphic designer in various advertising studios while earning his degree. He spent the next 16 years at Current Inc. a major stationery company where he worked his way up to Senior Designer/Illustrator. Since 1999, he has been freelancing full time, designing and illustrating stationery, home decor products, educational products and packaging.

Technology has changed the way we all work, and Mark has been able to effectively make the transition to digital art. He still enjoys working in some of the traditional ways, with brushes and pencils, yet the computer offers his work more flexibility and creativity. His artwork now is a combination of both.

He is a Colorado native with a wife and three boys. His hobbies have included the typical outdoor sports, woodworking and karate. His latest pastime is with Ballroom Dance. This combination of art and movement is a great activity for outside the studio.
